Get creative together: sustainable DIY workshops for your team.
Take a break from the daily grind and get stuck in with some hands-on creativity together: in my sustainable DIY workshops, you’ll discover as a team just how much fun it is to create something with your own hands.
Whether it’s natural cosmetics, scented candles or upcycling – you choose the theme that suits you best. In a relaxed atmosphere, you’ll explore ingredients and materials, try out new things and get to know one another. The result is unique, personalised creations that you can take home as a memento.
My name is Karen Rose and I’ve been running sustainable DIY workshops since 2016. As the author of two DIY books, I’ll share practical tips and clear instructions with you, so you can carry on at home. No prior experience is needed – all materials and personalised guidance are provided.
The workshops take place in my Berlin studio for up to twelve people, at a suitable external venue, or at your own premises. They’re held in German or English and tailored to your event – from team-building days to Christmas parties.
Sustainability is at the heart of my workshops. Together, we discover how we can make everyday products ourselves, reuse materials and use resources more mindfully. It’s all about the joy of experimenting and simple ideas that can be put into practice in your own daily life.
In the natural cosmetics workshops, participants learn about straightforward recipes and their ingredients. They discover the functions of individual raw materials and how to make their own skincare products using just a few ingredients. Reusable containers help to reduce packaging waste. Through upcycling, we give so-called waste a new lease of life and discover the value of materials that would otherwise often be thrown away.
I carefully select ingredients and materials and use them sparingly. Depending on the workshop, we might use plant-based waxes, natural oils or reused packaging, for example. Vegan options are available on request. Participants take home the products they’ve made themselves, along with clear instructions and practical tips. This way, the shared experience can continue to have an impact beyond the workshop.
Sustainability is also part of what goes on behind the scenes: my studio is powered by green electricity. I use a cargo bike for journeys and transporting materials within Berlin, and the train for travel across Germany. I send parcels exclusively via GoGreen.
My aim is to make sustainability accessible: creatively, collaboratively and with practical ways for people to get involved themselves.
At my studio in Berlin-Treptow, which can accommodate up to 12 people, at a suitable external venue, or at your premises. Larger groups are possible depending on the topic and format.
