Timber bridge construction
Pioneering is teamwork: plan, construct, saw, screw, drill and measure for all you're worth! At the end, you will be standing on your own bridge that not only connects two banks, but above all your team!
There is plenty of material ready for your group on the bank of our bridge: Boards, roof battens, beams, saws, screws, ropes, hammers, nails, etc. The group uses these to plan and build a bridge according to their own construction plan, which not only has to get the entire group across the water dry, but also has to fulfil certain objectives.
Once the team has agreed on a design and put it on paper, they can get started. Everyone knows what they have to do, materials and tools are allocated and off they go. While the planners design and instruct, others produce prefabricated individual parts, which are then assembled by a third team. The bridge slowly grows over to the other bank. For large groups, it is advisable to work from both shores so that you eventually meet in the centre of the lake.
The result is impressive: The group has built a stable, safe and impressive bridge - a day's work that literally unites and will certainly be remembered for a long time to come.
